Saying goodbyes, something that I don’t think is going to get any easier as time goes by. This last week, I said good bye to the most amazing ministry I have ever been apart of. Children’s Garden and it’s family has left a lasting imprint on my mind that will never fade. This was the same ministry that you guys helped support and I can not thank you enough. You can be sure that your money went directly to expanding and bettering Gods Kingdom. The kids being affected directly by poverty and substance abuse here in the Philippines are being given a second chance because of people like you. People that take the time to read a blog like this one and donate in hope to make lasting change around the world.  And not just physical but spiritual change in the lives of all the hurting. So, I say it again, thank you so much for taking part in that spiritual change and helping my dear friends at Children’s Garden.

As hard as it was to say goodbye to Joesph, JP, Micheal, Pualo and all the rest of those wonderful kids. I know that the friendships we made and the joy we shared will last forever. That the poverty and prostitution and drugs we fought against together will make an impact in the Kingdom. Michael said it best, “we can not say goodbye because we will never know where God will lead us in this life. So for right now I just say, see you again.” Miss them so much already but, I know God will continue to do amazing things in each one of there lives.

As for right now I’m sitting here in the Pine hills hotel in town. The only place I am capable of getting wifi at. So for the most part it is definitely going to be a different month. I’m located about 10 minutes outside of Malaybalay at a camp called Mount Moriah. It is an absolute beautiful camp, we have our own room in a dorm like building. So just us 5 guys have our own beds, along with 3 showers. Also on the property is an orphanage so we will be spending a lot of time there I am sure. We have been super blessed so far and we are looking forward to this entire month. If I haven’t explained yet, which I don’t think I have, we left Children’s garden because we are doing Manistry month. Which means just the men on my squad get together and go do ministry together. On the 27th we left Manila and flew here to Malaybalay. Really looking forward to growing with all these incredible guys and having a crazy adventure month. Should be able to get to do some awesome adventure stuff like White water rafting and caving. I’ll make sure I keep everyone as updated as I can but unfortunately  we don’t have wifi at the orphanage.  Hoping to blog and talk to everyone once a week. Thank you guys for the support. Have a great New Year

Peace Out !!!

  2. Hi Colten.
You put a tear in my eye today as I read your blog. I don’t like goodbyes either. I had to say goodbye this week to someone who is very dear to me. It is hard. But I believe God is faithful and will fill that void with his everlasting love. And I am a better person having had the experience.

I can’t wait to hear of the new adventures you will be having.
